تاریخ ناگفته آمریکا مستندی است ۱۰ قسمتی از کارگردان مشهور آمریکایی الیور استون که از شبکه شوتایم در سال ۲۰۱۲ روزهای دوشنبه ساعت ۸ شب پخش می‌شده است. راوی این مستند خود استون بوده و از آغاز جنگ جهانی دوم بحث را آغاز میکند، او هدفش را از ساخت این مستند در قسمت اول اینگونه بیان میکند :"وقتی از زبان بچه‌هایم شنیدم که در مدرسه چه چیزی به آن‌ها یاد می‌دهند، از این که مثل من، نمای حقیقی‌تری از دنیا به آن‌ها آموزش داده نمی‌شود، ناراحت شدم"، بر همین اساس اون این مستند را ساخته تا مردم دسترسی‌شان بیشتر از آن چیزی باشد که الیور استون به آن "استبداد کنونی" می‌گوید.
این مستند به بررسی شرایط ایالات متحده آمریکا در دوره ی حساس چند ساله ی جنگ جهانی دوم و اتفاقات گوناگونی که در آن روی داد می پردازد. همچنین تصمیم گیری های کلیدی از سوی افرادی چون روزولت، ترومن، چرچیل، استالین و قهرمانان گمنام آمریکا همچون هنری والاس و… را بررسی میکند که به نوعی سرنوشت جنگ را رقم زدند.
ایالت متحده آمریکا که با غلبه ی متفقین در جنگ جهانی دوم و شکست نهایی آلمان نازی در این جنگ و تخریب شدید زیرساخت‌های اقتصادی و صنعتی اروپا، کمترین خسارات را متحمل شده بود، به عنوان قدرت بزرگ جهانی پدیدار شد. حذف شدن اتحاد جماهیر شوروی از صحنه ی رقابت با آمریکا در میادینی چون جنگ سرد، جنگ ویتنام، و جنگ کره، عملا آمریکا را رفته رفته در موقعیت منحصر به فردی در جهان قرار داد.
ایالات متحده آمریکا در کنفرانس برتون وودز که پس از پیروزی در جنگ جهانی دوم در انگلستان برگزار شد، با تحمیل وجه رایج خود (دلار) به عنوان ارز جهان روا، سلطه و استعمار اقتصادی خود را نیز بر جهان تکمیل کرد.
در قسمت اول استون به پیدایش جنگ جهانی دوم و پیشروی هیتلر و بی اعتنایی غرب و نگرانی‌های استالین از روسیه اشاره میکند.
در قسمت دوم استون موضوع برنامه را به سه نفر اختصاص می‌دهد، روزولت، رییس جمهور وقت آمریکا، هنری والاس معاونش در سال‌های اولیه و هری ترومن معاون آخر روزولت و سناتور میسوری و رییس جمهور آمریکا بعد از روزولت.
اینکه چگونه رای‌ها بر می‌گردد و ترومن را وارد گود میکنند و در نهایت چگونه هیتلر نابود می‌شود و موضوع بحث به سمت ژاپن می‌رود.
قسمت سوم با نام "بمب" شناخته می‌شود و ترومن دستور بمباران اتمی هیروشیما و ناکازاکی را می‌دهد و استالین به آمریکا بی‌اعتماد می‌شود.

The Untold History of America is a documentary about 10 episodes of the famous American director Oliver Stone, which aired on Showtime in 2012 on Mondays at 8 pm. The narrator of the documentary is Stone himself, who has been arguing since the beginning of World War II. He states his purpose for making this documentary in the first part: "When I heard from my children what they were being taught at school, that "Like me, they are not taught a more realistic view of the world, I'm upset," he said, making the documentary so that people have more access to what Oliver Stone calls "current tyranny."
This documentary examines the situation in the United States during the critical multi-year period of World War II and the various events that took place there. It also examines key decisions made by the likes of Roosevelt, Truman, Churchill, Stalin, and anonymous American heroes such as Henry Wallace and others who somehow determined the fate of the war.
The United States, which suffered the least damage with the Allied victory in World War II and the eventual defeat of Nazi Germany in that war and the severe destruction of Europe's economic and industrial infrastructure, emerged as a major world power. The elimination of the Soviet Union from the arena of competition with the United States in areas such as the Cold War, the Vietnam War, and the Korean War, virtually placed the United States in a unique position in the world.
The United States, at the Bretton Woods Conference held in the United Kingdom after the victory of World War II, also completed its economic domination and colonization of the world by imposing its common currency (the dollar) as the world currency.
In the first part, Stone points to the outbreak of World War II and the advance of Hitler, the West's indifference, and Stalin's concerns about Russia.
In the second part, Stone discusses the program with three people: Roosevelt, the then President of the United States, Henry Wallace, his Vice President in the early years, and Harry Truman, the last Vice President of Roosevelt and Senator of Missouri, and the President of the United States after Roosevelt.
How the votes come back and put Truman in the dungeon, and finally how Hitler is destroyed and the subject goes to Japan.
The third part is known as the "bomb" and Truman orders the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and Stalin distrusts the United States.
